Daybreak, or "dayclean" as the locals say, and the sun rises over the Atlantic Ocean signaling another beautiful day in Abaco.  Your voyage with Captain Plug will soon begin.  Remember, everyday here is an adventure in one way, or another.  Let's see what the possibilities are for some fun and exploration.

  Daybreak

Let's say you want to do some exploring on your own, but you have limited boating experience, are not sure how best to enjoy yourself, and are uncomfortable with the idea of docking a boat.  I can help you have a positive experience.  Book the boat of your choice, then spend just an hour or two with me, and I will have you maneuvering your rental craft like a pro.  I will show you where to go on the chart, as well as what to see, do, and lookout for.  Now you are ready to begin your own adventure!

For a half day trip (4 to 5 hours) with myself as your guide, you will want to plan on only one primary activity such as snorkeling the reef of your choice, or visiting one of our settlements.  I will have you back home in time for lunch, or if you prefer, your adventure can begin after lunch, and we can go until 30 minutes before dark.  I only boat after dark in emergencies…or to Cracker P's Full Moon Party!

An all day affair (6 to 8 hours) can involve a visit to a neighboring settlement, then perhaps a picnic on a beautiful beach, or a visit to one of the local eateries, as well as visiting a second settlement, or maybe some light tackle fishing.  Shelling is best at low tide, so we can plan accordingly to be in the right area when the water is almost at its lowest point of the day.  I also know where to find conch if you would like to try your hand at cleaning, and preparing conch salad – a big favorite with locals.

Even with a one-day trip, we will have only just begun to scratch the surface of the many possibilities.  There are so many activities to do around here.  Don't make the mistake of trying to cram too much into one day.  Relax and enjoy yourself.  You are on Island Time now.
